DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION

As the awakening to systemic racism and the inequities revealed by COVID 19 have unfolded this year, it has become apparent that we have grown too comfortable in our approach to combatting white supremacy in all institutions and spaces. ImmersED takes the work to reflect and challenge systems that oppress BIPOC and other marginalized groups seriously. 


The following intentions guide our approach:

- We seek to explore the space between the stories we tell ourselves and what is actually happening in our communities and organizations. This takes honest reflection and repair that can propel us forward.

- It is essential that each community member is valued and seen in all of our collaboration.

- Excellence and success need to be clearly defined with an empathetic and equity-conscious focus. 

- A good place to begin is with this question: What is a conversation in this organization/community that needs to happen but isn't happening right now?
